JEFF

For Assignment 1, I built an OpenGL / GLFW program that draws my hero's name, "JEFF," along with a crest representing my hometown. Every letter and the crest are constructed entirely from hand-placed OpenGL primitives GL_TRIANGLES, GL_TRIANGLE_STRIP, and GL_TRIANGLE_FAN with no fonts or external images used for the text itself.

The finished 700x150 sign banner, rendered live in OpenGL.

Each letter is defined once in a local unit coordinate space and stored by character, so a single shared draw routine can look up any letter's geometry and apply its own translate, scale, and rotate transform to place it along the banner. This made it straightforward to mix primitive types across different letters and to give a few of them distinct scale and rotation treatments without duplicating drawing code.
