Hi, my name is Amanda and I am a junior in CS on the business track. I'm a Colorado native from Lakewood, CO. I didn't really have any programming experience before taking this class, so this really speaks to the testament that anyone can be a computer science major. Outside of U-CLIMB I am also involved in SASE, SWE, PATHS, and Blue Key on campus. Personally, I love to travel, paint, and am a huge foodie. I hope to see everyone both in class and around campus. Hey, I’m Chandler. I’m a second year CS major and I moved to Colorado from Texas, although I’ve lived in a lot of different places. I became a mentor because I’ve loved computers/computer science for as long as I could remember and I enjoy helping others learn about it. As a 2nd year student at Mines, I'm someone with many passions including trail running and exploring mountains, singing loudly in my car, and discussing current events. I'm originally from Plano, TX, but I have also lived in El Salvador and Santa Fe, NM in addition to frequent trips to Asia and Europe. I wanted to be a U-CLIMB mentor since I enjoy sharing my love of Computer Science with others. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone's face light up when they finally grasp a concept they have had trouble with.
