Quote Dylan lives by: "It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default." - J.K. Rowling Hello, I am Dylan. I am currently working on my Master's Degree here at Mines. Video games are my go-to down time, however I just got into building models, so we will see how that goes. I will usually try everything at least once when possible. I really look forward to a great year. |
Christine Liebe |
Quote Christine lives by: "Find your dream. It's the pursuit of your dream that heals you." As a Research Associate for the CS department I work as a CS education researcher. I also assist with K-12 student and teacher outreach programs as well as manage two scholarship programs: Path Ambassadors to High Success (PATHS) and the new Dept. of Defense CySp program providing full-ride scholarships in cybersecurity. Although my PhD is in Education: Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, I focused the bulk of my doctoral studies and postdoctoral work on CS education research, primarily on computational thinking and abstraction. I've taught a wide variety of subjects in both K-12 and community college settings since 2009 including Education, Science, Writing, and CS. |
Hunter Lee Belcher |
Quote Hunter lives by: "May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears." – Nelson Mandela Hi, my name is Hunter Belcher! I am new to Colorado School of Mines this year but definitely not new to CO. I went to Golden High School just a few blocks down the road and got my BS in Computer Science from CU Boulder. I am passionate about Machine Learning and I especially love applying it to real world situations. Outside of class I like to ski, hike, mountain bike, and do pretty much anything else that gets me outside. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions! |
Eric Roels |
Quote Eric lives by: “In times of stress, the best thing we can do for each other is to listen with our ears and our hearts and to be assured that our questions are just as important as our answers” – Fred Rogers Howdy! My name is Eric, I grew up just outside of Boston. I finished my BA earlier this year in Astrophysics at Colgate University, where I also developed a passion for Computer Science. Now I’m participating in the CS@Mines Bridge Master’s Program for Computer Science. I love teaching both in the outdoors and in the classroom and I’m stoked to be helping instruct CSCI 102 this semester! I also love Mountain Biking, Backpacking, Video Games, Horror Movies, and my pet hedgehog Linus. |
